random pics

here are some random pictures i thought i'd share with you. first is the latest stage of the patio ... since then i've added some more rocks, changed some plants out, and still need to do some more work to it all, but this is what it looked like last week. :-)

now here's the front of my mom's house. and the leaves in the yard. and the leaves in the side yard. and the leaves in the neighbor's yard. i've never cared about leaves before because, to my knowledge, i've never raked, or had to rake, or bothered to rake, leaves before. so now i'm looking at all these leaves wondering, "do we have to rake them? is that going to be MY task? and what do we do with them once we've raked them up???"
